Nicholas Agaba Rugaba is a Civil Engineer and Renewable Energy Expert with over 10 years’ experience on energy and infrastructure projects. He currently works as a Project Manager on the Nyagak III Hydro Project which is a Public Private Partnership, where he has a leading role in management of the PPP contracts and restructuring the project towards financial close. He has vast experience in financial and business modelling for renewable energy projects and undertaking due diligence (technical & financial) for infrastructure projects.

He has previously worked on the Isimba HPP as Assistant Project Manager for the client (UEGCL) and on Bujagali HPP as Shift Civil Engineer for the Contractor (Salini Construttori SPA).

Nicholas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Kyambogo University and an MBA from the Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI). He is a Corporate Member of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE)
