Mohamed Okash is a researcher, educator, and ecosystem Builder. His work focuses on the intersection of climate change, development, governance, and public policy.

Okash is a YELP Fellow and the Valediction of the class of 2019, a Global Shaper, and a Climate Reality Leader. Currently, he is the founding director of the Institute of Climate and Environment at SIMAD University in Mogadishu.

Mr. Okash is an influential thought leader who challenges the status quo with a strong passion for systems change and social justice. He has deep expertise and knowledge for designing solutions and pioneering possibilities with and for communities and businesses. He is enthusiastic to learn, adapt and contribute continuously to a better-led and served world.
