Mwebaze Johnson

Mwebaze Johnson is an accounting, entrepreneurship, and public finance professional with experience in tax administration, compliance, and financial management in Uganda. He currently serves as an Officer in Domestic Taxes at the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), where he is involved in tax assessment, compliance enforcement, and revenue mobilization to support national development. Alongside this, he contributes as Finance Officer at Top Bloggers Uganda, supporting financial planning and operational oversight within the digital media and content ecosystem.

He previously served as Head of Finance at mfeyti, where he led financial strategy, reporting, and controls for over five years. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance from Makerere University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA Uganda). He combines strong analytical capability with experience in public sector taxation, financial systems, and digital economy enterprises, with additional interests in business negotiation, IT planning, and data-driven systems such as knowledge graphs.

Beyond his professional work, Johnson is the co-founder of Zaabu Creatives where design and knit custom jerseys are made with each piece going beyond style to tell a story of identity and purpose. He also serves as the CEO of Zeon Tile Market, a one-stop hub for quality ceramics, plumbing and tile solutions.
