Lydie Uwantege

Lydie Uwantege is a licensed Civil Engineer and Operations Manager at Delta Developers, where she oversees the operational, contractual, and administrative delivery of high-value residential developments in Kigali. With over a decade of experience in infrastructure design, construction, and project management, she works at the intersection of technical execution and strategic oversight, ensuring developments are not only delivered but also structured, compliant, and commercially sound. Her current focus is on multi-level residential projects and strengthening internal systems that enhance efficiency, accountability, and sustainable growth in a rapidly evolving urban environment.

Beyond her core role, she contributes to the wider engineering and development ecosystem through her involvement with the American Society of Civil Engineers Government Engineers Council (ASCE) and the Commonwealth Youth for Sustainable Urbanisation Network (CYSU). She also mentors student engineers through Engineers Without Borders USA, serves as a technical paper reviewer for Engineers Without Borders UK, and sits on the board of the Maranyundo Initiative, supporting its mission to advance education and leadership for young women in Rwanda. Alongside her engineering work, she is a published poet and author of A Melody in Words, reflecting a practice rooted in both technical excellence and creative expression, with a consistent focus on building lasting value and enabling others to thrive.
